South African government pleads with Zimbabwean learners to return for matric exams

Zimbabwean pupils who were forced to leave South Africa in the wake of march and march are being welcomed back in South Africa to write their matric exams. 

This has sparked controversy among both South African and Zimbabwean citizens. They are arguing “how are they going to write their matric exams without proper identification?” 

Zimbabweans also wishes that the South African government should call for greater recognition of their cultural and linguistic identity within South African schools. Among the suggestions is the inclusion of Shona in the academic curriculum. 

The whole  situation has shown the impact that  political tensions can have on learners, particularly those who find themselves caught between circumstances beyond their control and the demands of their education.

Farm Worker Dies After Being Attacked by 4.5-Metre Rock Python in KwaDukuza

Man attacked by a large python Image:File/SAS News A routine day at work turned into a tragedy in KwaDukuza after a farm worker was attacked by a massive rock python while working on the farm. The man was reportedly busy cleaning when the approximately 4.5-metre-long python suddenly attacked him. The snake wrapped itself around the worker, leaving him trapped on the ground.  A colleague who was nearby rushed to his assistance and attempted to free him from the powerful snake.
