What is the nation even hoping for when the problem is at the top? 

South Africa’s high-ranking Deputy National Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya (59yrs) is facing serious sexual offence charges.


The charges relate to allegations that Sibiya sexually groomed a 16-year-old girl and raped an 18-year-old woman. He is also facing a charge of human trafficking.


The state requested that the court should transfer Sibiya to a different correctional facility in the meantime, as there are indications of a potential escape plan. 


Shadrack Sibiya is expected to appear in court on 29 September 2026 for bail application.

Farm Worker Dies After Being Attacked by 4.5-Metre Rock Python in KwaDukuza

Man attacked by a large python Image:File/SAS News A routine day at work turned into a tragedy in KwaDukuza after a farm worker was attacked by a massive rock python while working on the farm. The man was reportedly busy cleaning when the approximately 4.5-metre-long python suddenly attacked him. The snake wrapped itself around the worker, leaving him trapped on the ground.  A colleague who was nearby rushed to his assistance and attempted to free him from the powerful snake.
