Police Confirm Recovery of Eighth Woman’s Body in Ekurhuleni

Police have confirmed the recovery of an eighth woman’s body in Ekurhuleni, adding to a growing investigation into the deaths of women whose bodies have been discovered across the area since July. The latest discovery was reported in Olifantsfontein, according to police. Authorities say the cases are being investigated by a dedicated team, which is working to establish whether the deaths are connected.


 The developments have left communities worried and families desperate for answers. Police have appealed to residents to come forward if they know of a woman who has been reported missing, saying identifying the victims could help investigators make progress in the cases. Authorities have also announced a R400,000 reward for information that could assist investigators in making arrests.


Increased police visibility is also being planned in Kempton Park and surrounding areas. Police have not publicly established that all the deaths were committed by the same person. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to identify the victims and determine exactly what happened.
