Madlanga Commission to proceed with Bafana Sindane’s case with or without his presence.

 Bafana Oupa Sindane’s application to postpone his appearance at court has been rejected by the Madlanga commission. Bafana’s lawyers cited a medical certificate for hypertension and a period of sacred sangoma journey  (Ukuthwasa). 


The commission will therefore still proceed with the case on 28 September 2026, Monday with or without his presence.


His testimony was anticipated to concentrate on alleged connections and networks within the taxi sector and would have come after that of his associate and fellow taxi leader, Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni. 


Sibanyoni has refuted claims of having ties to corrupt police officers or employing hitmen. However, while testifying, he admitted to maintaining what he referred to as brotherly relationships with certain police officers.


Sindane and Sibanyoni are also co-defendants in a case involving extortion and money laundering.

Farm Worker Dies After Being Attacked by 4.5-Metre Rock Python in KwaDukuza

Man attacked by a large python Image:File/SAS News A routine day at work turned into a tragedy in KwaDukuza after a farm worker was attacked by a massive rock python while working on the farm. The man was reportedly busy cleaning when the approximately 4.5-metre-long python suddenly attacked him. The snake wrapped itself around the worker, leaving him trapped on the ground.  A colleague who was nearby rushed to his assistance and attempted to free him from the powerful snake.
